THE DEATH OF A FAMILY IN GAZA

This isn't the first time this has happened, and unfortunately, it could still happen. An entire family of 10 people lost their lives at dawn this Friday in an Israeli bombardment in the Khan Yunis region, south of the Palestinian enclave, one of the hardest hit since the war in Gaza began.

The Barak family, who were living sparsely in a tent, were completely eliminated in this attack by the IDF armed forces, while 15 other people were seriously injured. The total number of Palestinian deaths between Thursday and today rises to 35, according to a Palestinian health source.

Remember, for example, the death of the family of Al-Jazeera correspondent Wael al-Dahdouh when the car in which they were traveling during the day to visit relatives was bombed. All the occupants of the vehicle died.

Prime Minister Netanyahu continues to order the bombing of Gaza, which he justifies by the existence of the last group of hostages held by Hamas. This radical Palestinian movement announced that it will release them when Israel admits the war is over.

What will happen once the last hostage is released? Netanyahu has been changing his plans, so it is not known with certainty what is happening. What's really on his mind? On several occasions, he has asserted that the Israeli army will remain in Gaza and occupy it within the framework of a union with the West Bank.

But a few days ago, he said he is interested in creating a buffer zone along the entire Gaza border, which would preclude its total occupation. However, he has not specified what that "buffer zone" would be.

On the other hand, he has expressed support for a project "that would turn Gaza into an uninhabitable enclave," something that seems unlikely on paper, but is part of the Jewish leader's aggressive rhetoric. Israel claims that at least 4,000 explosives, most of them aircraft bombs, remain in the ruins of Gaza.

When US President Donald Trump referred to Gaza shortly before being reelected, he happened to say that the enclave could become "a new Mediterranean Riviera"; another of his absurd statements. The 4,000 unexploded ordnance items represent a permanent danger to the Palestinian population resisting within the territory.
