A SOME OPTIMISM ABOUT THE GAZA WAR
Once again, a climate of optimism has emerged regarding the end of the Gaza war, following statements made by Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman. It should not be forgotten that Doha is the first negotiator in a bloody conflict that seeks to move toward peace and a final end to the conflict.
This optimism is not the first time it has reappeared and then vanished for a short time. The Qatari Prime Minister asserted that there is a "good climate" after the meeting between the head of the Mossad, David Barnea, the main Israeli intelligence service, and the Prime Minister. The two met last Thursday.
If everyone had the will to stop the attacks of the Jewish armed forces (IDF) against the Gazan population, the forces could enter a final phase. That is also the desire of President Donald Trump and the European Union (EU). “We need to find an answer to the ultimate question: how to end this war. That’s, basically, the key point of the entire negotiations,” Sheikh Mohammed added.
“The meeting that took place on Thursday is part of these efforts where we’re trying to find a breakthrough,” the Qatari prime minister said without further elaborating on the details of the meeting. The Prime Minister, who has one of the largest reserves of nuclear weapons in the Middle East, underlined the Prime Minister, who has one of the largest reserves of nuclear weapons in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, 23 Palestinians were killed on Sunday in a series of Israeli attacks. In reality, there hasn’t been a single day when the Jews haven’t stopped bombing since October 8, 2023. If it weren’t for Qatar’s activity, the war would remain stagnant indefinitely. The efforts of the Qatari President and Prime Minister deserve the attention they deserve.
So far, the main obstacle to stopping the war is Benjamin Netanyahu's position on continuing the aggression. Gaza is an endless conflict, and although Qatar and Egypt are working to end the fighting under the second phase of the US peace plan, it has not stopped.
In any case, President Trump has never intended to impose peace on Netanyahu, and the greatest danger lies in the latter's obsession with annexing Gaza and the West Bank.
