SAUDI ARABIA AND IRAN STRENGTHEN TIES It seems like yesterday when Riyadh and Tehran were fierce enemies dialectically fighting each other. Things have changed and now the two capitals have determined that they will work together to promote peace in the Middle East, and in particular bilateral relations. The Saudi Crown Prince, Mohamed Bin Salman, received the Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in Jeddah this Friday, thus giving efficient proof of the excellent cooperative relations between the two countries. “With the will of the heads of the two countries, stable bilateral relations were emphasized in all fields. We agree on ‘security and development for all’ in the region,...

INSTABILITY INCREASES IN THE DELSAHEL REGION The Sahel region is one of the most troubled spots in Africa. It serves as a refuge for extremist gangs such as “Islamic Jidad in the Sahel. And the latest event has been the military coup in Niger. The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) continues to study the possibility of a military intervention in Niger to restore the legitimate president, Mohamed Bazoum, to his post. The military junta has the support of the leaders of Mali and Burkina Faso, of military origin. On the contrary, Nigeria and the Ivory Coast maintain two possibilities to reinstate Bazoum: diplomatic negotiation or military intervention. Algeria opposes a military solution and maintains that the president, Bazoum, should return to office once the military junta is convinced that this is the best solution. But the problem is that the military coup in Niger...

RIYADH APPOINTS AMBASSADOR TO PALESTINE Saudi Arabia has appointed an ambassador to Palestine, in what is considered further proof of the Saudi Kingdom's interest in supporting the Palestinian people, when Israel intensifies its attacks on them. Some commentators have considered this fact as the first step towards the establishment of relations between Riyadh and Tel Aviv, which is absolutely false. The Saudis remain faithful to the Arab peace plan, which Israel has never accepted.   This appointment represents "an important step" that reflects the desire of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman "to strengthen relations with the brothers of the State of Palestine and give it a formal boost in all areas," as explained by Al Sudairi in statements collected by the Saudi channel Al Ekhbariya On the other hand, according to t...

PRESSURE FOR SAUDI ARABIA TO RECOGNIZE ISRAEL Morocco is using all its propaganda means to convince public opinion that Saudi Arabia is preparing to recognize Israel. As is known, Morocco is the Arab country that has the greatest understanding with the Jewish state (including military agreements) and that is why it insists on this campaign that has no credibility. There is no valid argument to believe that Saudi Arabia would establish relations with Israel. Morocco claims that Israel would take steps in favor of the Palestinian people if Riyadh recognizes it, but Israel has always betrayed its promises. King Salman Salmane ben Abdelaziz Al Saud is the custodian of Islam's two holy mosques. For this reason, it is not at all desirable for Israel to be recognized when the Jewish state violates the Al-Aqsa Mosque and enters that holy place, even attacking the faithful who ar...
