TRUCE AND RELEASE HOSTAGES, BUT UNCERTAIN FUTURE.
The 4-day humanitarian truce in Gaza, according to the agreement negotiated between Israel and Hamas, through Qatar and Egypt, began today, with an uncertain future regarding the situation in the Palestinian enclave, where aid arriving at the Gaza border crossing has increased. Rafah.
Both Israel and Hamas have reported violations of the truce. The radical Palestinian group will release today a first group of hostages and the Hebrew state will do the same with several Palestinian prisoners.
However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reaffirmed that the war will continue at the end of the truce, always with the objective of "destroying" Hamas and obtaining the freedom of the hostages still held by Palestinian fighters.
The position of Netanyahu, a defender of the genocide suffered by the civilian population of Gaza, appears to have weakened after former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert called for Netanyahu to be overthrown “for constituting a serious danger to the country.”
It is worth highlighting the importance of Qatar's mediation, given that the truce would have been impossible without the efforts made by HH the emir, Tamim ben Hamad Al Thani.
In Beirut, Iran's emissary met on Friday with the leaders of the Hizbollah group to examine the situation on the border with Israel, where several artillery exchanges have taken place.
Meanwhile, it is confirmed that since last October 7, a total of 48 war correspondents have died in Gaza and on Israel's border with Lebanon due to bombings by Zionist aircraft.
