King Salman of Saudi Arabia sentenced the "abominable" shootings on a US naval air base

Salman of Saudi Arabia on Friday sentenced, in an appeal to US President Donald Trump, the "abominable" shootings by a Saudi Air Force member on a US naval air base, killing three people, according to the official SPA agency.

The king expressed his "deep sadness" and "claimed that the perpetrator of this heinous crime does not represent the Saudi people," the Saudi agency said.

"He assured (Donald) Trump of the kingdom's total support in the United States and ordered Saudi security services to cooperate with US agencies," according to SPA.

Trump in touch with King Salman
In an appeal to Donald Trump, King Salman also denounced, earlier in the evening, the "barbaric" attack by a Saudi soldier in Florida, which killed three, the US president said on Twitter.

"King Salman of Saudi Arabia has called me to offer his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families and friends of the fighters who were killed and wounded in the attack that took place in Pensacola, Florida." tweeted the tenant of the White House.

"The king said that the Saudi people were outraged by the barbarian act of the shooter, and that this person in no way represented the feelings of the Saudi people, who love the American people," he added.
