THE CNI (Spanich center for Intelligence)
The Saharawi Movement for Peace (MSP) began a conference in Las Palmas on Thursday to reiterate Morocco's position on Western Sahara.
Some time ago, the CNI informed the government and Pedro Sánchez that the MSP was a setup organized by the Moroccan secret services.
The CNI does not do politics; his mission is to defend Spain and inform the government and other authorities of what he knows and finds out that may be of interest to the Spanish government and other allied governments.
The CNI has first rate representation in Morocco, with experienced agents, and with Moroccan informers and within the diplomatic corps.
The CNI and the US CIA regularly exchange intelligence information on Morocco.
The CNI knows very well the ins and outs of the Moroccan Makhzen, the government and the Royal House, and follows every step of being Hammuchi like a shadow.
The Moroccan secret services also have a good “station” in Spain, as they say in intelligence jargon. It has shown it in the Ghali case, but the CNI is far superior to the services of the Alaouite Kingdom.
The MSP has denied the CNI and says that it has nothing to do with the Rabat services. It would be more than necessary to say the opposite! The MSP says what it has to say, but the truth is in the mouth of the CNI and what it says goes to church.
Morocco spends millions of dollars in Spain from time to time to “water” politicians, journalists and the media so that they share their theses. The spirit is strong, but the flesh is weak.
The first speaker in Las Palmas was former Minister Bono. This man, whom we met in Algiers, was a supporter of the Polisario Front. He now he has made a 180 degree turn, He has the right to him, but he has repeated a falsehood. Bono, like others, says that the autonomy supported by President Sánchez is part of the United Nations project. This is false.
The United Nations, from 1975 until today with Antonio Guterres, maintains Western Sahara as a non-autonomous territory that appears on the agenda of the fourth commission, precisely in charge of preparing the self-determination referendum.
Morocco's hostility to the Sahrawis being consulted about their wishes has meant that MInurso, formed for the referendum, is only dedicated to controlling the ceasefire between the two contenders. But the Minurso has not been dissolved. Ergo, the Moroccan project is not supported by the UN, although it now includes a solution acceptable to both parties. And Pedro Sánchez, when speaking of a credible solution, has not related it to the fact that it also has to be approved by the Polisario Front. An error or an oversight of the president of the government?
Let's not discredit the CNI. He is doing an excellent job in Morocco. Whether the government follows or ignores their warnings is another matter.
