
EMIRATES: MOHAMED BIN ZAYED APPOINTS CROWN PRINCE The president of the United Arab Emirates, Cheikh Mohammed ben Zayed Al Nahyane, appointed his son, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi, as part of a major restructuring of the Emirati executive. The president has decided to grant a position of high responsibility by naming his brother, Mansour bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, vice president of the Kingdom, a position he shares with the governor of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum.
