CHINA, A MAJOR PLAYER IN THE MIDDLE EAST

China has managed to establish itself as a very important player in the Middle East by mediating between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and getting these two countries to agree to re-establish diplomatic relations and open embassies.

This fact is all the more important since until recently the Islamic Republic of Iran was considered in Ryad as one of its worst enemies.

But China would have to preserve its role as mediator if it broke its neutrality in the Ukraine war and sent arms to Russia.

The president, Xi Jinping, was not that Vladimir Putin is not a normal person and has acted in this conflict with imperial gestures. China, which defends the territorial unity of the countries, cannot support the fact that Russia has invaded Ukraine militarily and occupied a part of its territory.

If China appears to be an ally of Putin in Ukraine, it would make a serious mistake that would ruin the success of its mediation between Riyadh and Tehran.

China has already become an important player in Africa for many years, where its investments occupy the first place. Now, in the Middle East, new prospects are opening up for Beijing, provided that it does not approve Israel's apartheid policy, because doing so would be another mistake.

  In conflict areas, China acts with the wisdom of Conficius and the traditional calm of the Chinese people. This is what the Arab governments expect without a doubt.
