SAUDI AR ARABIA ACT WITH FORCE AGAINST TERRORISM
Under the leadership of the Crown Prince, Mohamed Bin Salman, Saudi Arabia has once again shown the firmness with which it fights terrorism, as it became known that the death penalty was applied against seven convicted of acts of a terrorist nature.
At the same time, Riyadh is applying the Vision 2030 plan that tries to develop and empower different sectors to diversify the Saudi economy and avoid dependence on oil. Terrorism is a destabilizing element that has no place in the Saudi plan.
The Saudi kingdom is also acting against jihadist terrorism linked to the Sunni side of Islam. Riyadh has for years faced terrorist attacks and plots organized by Sunni extremists who have sworn allegiance to terrorist groups such as Daesh or Al-Qaeda.
The SPA news agency reported the official announcement by the Saudi Interior Ministry about the execution of seven Saudi citizens accused of espionage, establishment of terrorist cells, attacks on police officers and training with weapons and bombs.
On Monday, SPA reported the execution of three people who were convicted of "joining a camp outside the Kingdom in the service of a terrorist organization and training with weapons and bombs in their camps."
The other four executions were carried out in the Shiite-majority eastern region that has seen frequent unrest since 2011.
