Abdelmadjid Tebboune also acknowledged Russia's support for Algeria, which recently obtained a seat as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.

Algeria is also waiting for the support of Russia for its accession to the BRICS group. “We want to accelerate our membership of the BRICS in order to enter a system other than that of the dollar or the euro. This will have positive effects for our economy,” pleaded the Head of State.
