EMIR QATAR DEMANDS CEASE FIRE AND END TO VIOLENCE

HH the Emir of Qatar, Tamim ben Hamad Al Thani, has called for a ceasefire and an end to violence in the war between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement. This demand was raised in the meeting held in Doha with the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken.

The Qatari Emir is known for the efforts he carries out to mediate conflicts that affect the Middle East and, thanks to this, many of them are resolved with positive results.

The Emir, Tamim ben Hamad Al Thani, maintains a prestigious and effective diplomacy, which has been the subject of international recognition. His last mediation was to participate in the release of 5 North American citizens, on the 18th, who were detained in Iran.

The US then unlocked $6 billion of Iranian funds and sent them to Doha, but they have been seized again, with the support of Qatar, while Iran's possible involvement in the war is being studied.

Meanwhile, demonstrations of support for the Palestinian people are spreading in the United States. Colleges and Universities have taken to the streets day after day to condemn Israel's disproportionate bombings of Gaza. The students carry banners that say “All of us are Hamas.”

The Jewish community of the city of Boston has also taken to the streets with a banner that proclaims: “The Jews of Boston want Palestine to be free.”

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Jordan have firmly rejected the 1.1 million Palestinians in Gaza leaving the northern strip due to the illegal order issued by Israel.

The United Nations also condemns this order given the material impossibility of evacuating so many people. Columns of Palestinian families are being seen leaving their homes in cars, on foot, in donkey-drawn wagons for fear of a military invasion of Gaza by Israeli forces. An exodus that shows the tragedy that the inhabitants of the strip are experiencing.

Hamas already recognizes the deaths of nearly 1,800 soldiers and civilians due to the bombings. Israel says it is carrying out operations inside Gaza to try to locate prisoners held by Hamas.
