THE UN CONDEMNS THE TOTAL BLOCKADE OF GAZA

The United Nations has condemned the total blockade of Gaza, announced by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, warning that it is “a violation of international humanitarian law.”

Israel has cut off electricity to Gaza and does not allow the passage of food and customs, thus showing a new facet of the violence used against the civilian population by the gang that leads the Hamas movement.

Meanwhile the death toll on both sides exceeds 1,600, and Israel claims to have found the bodies of another 1,500 fighters from the Al-Aqsa brigades. Hospitals overwhelmed as the Israeli army continues bombardment of the Gaza Strip, four days after Hamas sent rockets and fighters into Israel in an unprecedented attack.

Far-right national security minister, Itamar Ben Gvir, has announced his ministry is buying 10,000 guns to arm “civilian security teams” across Israel and the occupied West Bank, the Times of Israel reports. Several airlines have suspended or canceled flights to Israel in light of the latest conflict.
