SPAIN ACCUSES ISRAEL OF COMMITTING “AUTHENTIC GENOCIDE” IN GAZA

Tension grows between Israel and Spain. This weekend, the Spanish government accused Israel of committing “a true genocide” in Gaza, while the Jewish state has blocked any contact between the Spanish embassy and consulate with Palestinian media, including the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) in Ramallah. .

The Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, has indicated that Spain has no problem with the Jewish people who deserve to live in peace. The problem comes from the current government led by Benjamin Netanyahu, which has unleashed a “real genocide” in Gaza.

The minister added that it is timely to pressure Netanyahu to once and for all accept the ceasefire and thus stop bombing the territory of Gaza, causing one massacre after another. In addition, this would allow the release of the hostages held by Hamas, who are still alive.

At the same time, she stressed that almost half of the 36,000 Palestinian civilians killed in the bombings are children, something she described as “horrifying.” Until now, the socialist party to which she, Robles, belongs, had not been so hard on Israel, regarding Gaza.

But the government presided over, Pedro Sánchez, has realized that the Spanish population is on the side of the Palestinians and rejects Israel; and that is why we must take it into account and not go against public opinion.

The minister has stated that she does not fear that cooperation between the respective intelligence services of Spain and Israel to fight against jihadist terrorism will cease due to the position of Pedro Sánchez's Government on Palestine.

For his part, Pedro Sánchez, in an interview with a television network, stated that “it is evident that Israel does not respect human rights.”

Throughout its history, the Spanish people have always shown their solidarity with the Arab Nation. The Spanish language is full of Arabic words and the history of Al-Andalus is still considered golden centuries.
