UNO: ARAB LEADERS DEMAND PEACE IN GAZA AND LEBANON
The presidents and high dignitaries of the Arab countries have called for a peace solution in Gaza and Lebanon, in speeches made before the General Assembly of the United Nations.
Faced with the worsening of the situation in the Palestinian enclave and in the south of Lebanon, where Israel has not stopped the air strikes and announced that it will increase the pressure, the Arab countries express their condemnation of the Jewish state before the General Assembly in which the highest leaders of the world participate.
Israel, meanwhile, has concentrated a thousand soldiers on the border with the country of the cedars, which could be the prelude to an invasion. The Israeli Prime Minister, Netanyahu, has traveled to New York to also participate in the General Assembly.
Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, said the world faces challenges that cross boundaries and must be dealt with according to international law and without double standards.
To those ends, I have called for the reform of the United Nations. The illegal blockade imposed on Qatar was the result of a pre-arranged campaign, based on manufacturing. Despite the challenges that blockade created; his country experienced a strengthening of status and consolidation of its role as an active partner in regional and international arenas.
Underlines alfo that " have expressed appreciation for the assistance of friendly nations in ending the crisis, adding that differences in views on regional issues should not paralyze the effectiveness of important regional organizations like the Gulf Cooperation Council, as it harms their international reputation".
Regarding the situation in Yemen said: "I have called on all parties to end the conflict based on Security Council resolution 2216 (2015). Advocating for free access for humanitarian assistance in all areas in Yemen, he announced Qatar's agreement with the United Nations to fight cholera in Yemen by supporting projects addressing the disease there".
In conclusion said: "I have emphasized the need for freedom of access in the cybersphere and the need to protect citizens against hacking and the importance of national cybersecurity".
Qatar is one of the mediators in the Gaza war, alongside Egypt and the United States, but Israel's obstruction has blocked the internationally demanded ceasefire solution.
