ISRAEL BOMBS IRAN AGAIN IN RETALITION

The Jewish armed forces have claimed to have attacked several missile manufacturing sites in Iran on Saturday, in retaliation for the firing of similar weapons against Israel on October 1.

Netanyahu had promised that he would not attack oil and nuclear facilities in the Islamic Republic; in response to a demand made by the American president, Joe Biden. Tehran says that the damage caused by the Israeli aviation “is of a limited nature”.

In this way, the cycle of attack-retaliation between Tehran and Tel Aviv has taken a new step. The Iranians fired missiles against their greatest enemy after Israel assassinated in Tehran, on July 31, the political leader of Hamas, Ismael Haniyeh, in the temporary residence where he was attending the presentation of the new Iranian president, Masoud Pezeshkian.

Saudi Arabia, which has reestablished relations with Iran thanks to mediation by China, condemned the Israeli attacks on Saturday and again called on the international community to intervene to prevent the Middle East from becoming more destabilized than it is already.

It is clear that Netanyahu would like to hit the Islamic Republic harder, but he has had no choice but to hold back for fear of new reprisals from Tehran. This is the policy of “fear and reaction” that the two enemy countries maintain.

It should also not be forgotten that Iran is a major player in the region with allied branches in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and even Iraq. Netanyahu believes he has saved his face with this bombing, but he is wrong because the Iranians still have the means and places to continue manufacturing drones and missiles, among other items.

Just days before the US presidential elections, Israel is embroiled in two wars, in Gaza and Lebanon, while tensions with Iran are not going to ease after the attack carried out today against what Tel Aviv claims were “military sites.”
