ISLAMIC COUNTRIES STRONGLY CONDEMN ISRAELI ATTACKS IN GAZA AND LEBANON

The committee that brings together members of the Arab League (AL) and the Organization of Islamic Countries (OPI), meeting in Riyadh, reaffirmed its condemnation of genocidal acts and the violation of borders and international laws by Israel, Saudi official sources reported.

This position was included in the opening speech of the committee delivered by the Saudi Crown Prince, HH Mohamed Bin Salman, who at the same time referred to the obstacles that the Hebrew state puts in place to prevent aid, particularly food, from reaching the civilian population of Gaza. The blocking of humanitarian aid is a war crime condemned by all international legal bodies.

“The Kingdom condemns the obstruction of the relief efforts of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East in Palestinian territories, as well as the obstruction of the work of humanitarian organizations providing aid to the Palestinian people,” the Crown Prince said.

The committee also speaks out against the military operations that the IDF forces have undertaken in Lebanon, violating its borders, which must be internationally respected. Israel does not respect these principles in any way and uses its army, air force and navy without any international control. Jewish forces have even caused injuries to the United Nations containment forces in the land of the cedars (UNIFIL).

The list of criminal violations cited by the Crown Prince highlights the entry of police forces onto the esplanade and into the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque; a repugnant fact that no one in the world, except Jews, can accept.

It should be noted that Prince Mohammed Bin Salman referred to Iran, with which Riyadh maintains relations thanks to Chinese mediation, to condemn the aggressions caused by the Jewish Prime Minister, Netanyahu, against the Islamic Republic.

He also said “we stand with our brothers in Palestine and Lebanon,” and reiterated that Palestine qualifies for full membership in the UN, as he stressed the necessity of establishing a Palestinian state. We launched a global initiative to support the two-state solution,”

Muslim countries must watch with the utmost attention the decisions that may be taken, starting next January, by the re-elected President of the United States, Donald Trump; who has already given proof of his complicity with Israel and its current leaders.
