HEZBOLLAH SHOWS ITS OFFENSIVE POTENTIAL AGAINST ISRAEL
It was taken for granted that the radical Lebanese group was very weakened and about to disappear, after the death of its top leader, Hasan Nasrallah, but the reality is very different. Lebanese fighters continue to attack the forces of the Jewish state in retaliation against the bombings and missile fire by Israel.
At least 20 Israelis were injured in central Israel by the explosion this Saturday; and in another attack carried out today, damage was caused to one of the bases of the Mossad intelligence services. The exact location is the Gilit base near the town of Tira. Hezbollah claims that they caused damage among the people who worked at that base.
These reprisals give arguments to Prime Minister Netanyahu, described as a war criminal by various international organizations, to continue his war without limits. The differences in strength are very disproportionate, but the honour of Hezbollah's supporters remains intact, no matter how many accusations of terrorism they make in the West.
Hezbollah defends its country with all the forces at its disposal. They are few compared to those of the IDF, but they show that the war launched against the land of the cedars is not "a simple walk" for the Jewish military. If Netanyahu had not lost his mind, he would have long ago negotiated a peace agreement that would have saved the deaths of thousands of Palestinian and Lebanese civilians.
In Gaza, at least 50 Palestinians lost their lives during the last 24 hours, according to the Qatari channel "Al Jazeera". This brings to 43,314 the number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks since October 8 last year. There is much lamentation in the West but not the slightest pressure on the racist Netanyahu government.
It is worth noting that Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, spoke out again on Saturday to threaten "devastating responses" against Israel and its "Great Protector" if they decide to attack the Islamic Republic again. His statements come after the Israeli military launched strikes last week on military bases in Iran, hitting about 20 sites over several hours in Ilam, Khuzestan and Tehran.
