GAZA-ISRAEL: A BREAK IN TWO SIDES

Until now, it was the Palestinians who demonstrated their political weakness by breaking out in various movements, some of them extremist in nature, dating back to the distant times of Yasser Arafat. The Gaza war has revealed the divisions that also affect the Jews

The pact between Israel and Hamas has forced the resignation of three members of the cabinet still headed by Benjamin Netanyahu. The resignation of the radical, Ben Gvir, has not surprised anyone. Two other members of the ultra-religious party joined the action taken by Ben Gvir.

This break in the current political framework of Israel is a sign of weakness and shows that the most extremists, where we could include Netanyahu, are seeing that they are splitting up, something that the Jewish population considered practically impossible.

The first three hostages will be released within a few hours; they are Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbrecher and Emily Damary. At the same time, the ceasefire has already begun, which has sparked scenes of joy in the enclave.

Everything seems to be going well thanks to the intense work of the mediators from Qatar, Egypt and the United States. Their talks with representatives of Israel and Hamas were not considered positive until the last moment.

Particularly noteworthy are the efforts made, within the framework of the mediation, by the Prime Minister of Qatar, Mohammed ben Abdelrahmane Al-Thani.
