Selfishness is a word, a feeling that is spreading more and more throughout the world. People are selfish because they have what they need to live and they feel that they are not obliged to help the poor.

Fortunately, in the Arab world: Kings; Crown Princes; Emirs; Sheikhs and other leaders maintain a feeling of pity towards their fellow men.

If we ask a man in need, whether he prefers to read the newspaper or to have a chorba or a chickpea soup; the answer is obvious: chickpeas are more necessary than news.

Arab leaders continue to help people who are dying of hunger in places like Aza and Sudan with pity. There the only need is chickpeas and talking about news has no resemblance to hunger. Why talk to them about anything else? Eating is more necessary than news.

However, once the chickpea soup is eaten, even if hunger still persists, people may ask themselves: Why this war? Why do they kill us with bombs and missiles? Why are there people who want war at all costs and do not care about peace?

And this is where information can play its pedagogical role; to give the necessary answers; to explain the disasters and massacres and the reason why they are reproduced. In any case, chickpeas will always be the most necessary.

But knowing what is happening in the world; knowing why Israel continues the genocide and war crimes is also necessary. Knowing is not more important than eating; but it has its importance. Let us not ignore it. Many times knowledge prevents dramas.

That is why information should not be forgotten, nor thrown away. Chickpeas will always be the first, but help us to know what is happening in the world; what happened in Syria; the war obsession of Prime Minister Netanyahu… Yes, information, particularly in the Arab world, must be protected.

You cannot keep people hungry until they die; But we cannot keep it in the dark either. We have to help on both fronts. ARABINFOCU is asking for help; it is asking to be allowed to report on what is happening in the Arab world.

Chickpeas will always be more important…but ARABINFOCUS is another food that can explain what is happening.
