he US State Department has announced the shipment of 64 million dollars to Afghanistan in "humanitarian aid." If this money were to alleviate the sufferings of Afghans after the Taliban takeover, it could not be criticized. But it is to be feared that the money will go into the pockets of the Taliban and, in this sense, it will be a complicity with Islamist terrorism,

Because the Taliban is a terrorist movement, with complicity with Al Qaeda, and although it claims ISIS is its enemy, there is no evidence that there is no complicity with that great terrorist galaxy.

Biden makes mistake after mistake. After the chaotic departure from Afghanistan this country is on the way to becoming a sanctuary for terrorists. And the consequences will be dire.

The United States should have kept the Bagran base as a fixation point and not abandoned it.

The Afghan government, with its cowardly armed forces and unwilling to fight, could have hired a mercenary force (why not?) That would have placed itself in the front line behind the government forces, threatening to kill anyone who deserted. Those forces needed to be more afraid of the threats of the mercenary forces than of the threat of the Taliban. The death of deserters is the law of war.

And in any case the Taliban cannot now be treated as a legitimate government.
