UKRAINE: PRESS DISINFORMATION

Editorialists in the press, particularly Spanish ones, have not stopped ringing the alarm bells, affirming that the invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops is only a matter of days or weeks, endorsing the apocalyptic forecasts of the president, Joe Biden. . The keyboards of the computers of these characters continue to give rise to the invasion, ensuring that the Russian tanks are already on the border line and are preparing to violate it as soon as Putin gives the order.
It is useless for Moscow to say that it has no intention of violating the border, or for Putin himself to have told the French president, Emanuel Macron, that Russia will not start the war.
Not a single one of those editorialists stops to take into account the expansionist plans of NATO, its desire to enter new allies and its open intention to serve point by point the no less expansionist strategy of the United States.
When the Soviet Union continued to exist, NATO resigned itself to having a European border line that did not cross the limits of the Warsaw Pact countries. In Brussels, its experts were content to keep the alliance confined to its western limits. But as soon as the USSR and the Warsaw Pact collapsed, the Atlantic alliance assumed the right to expand towards Eastern Europe, incorporating new strategies in the political and economic order.
That's where we are, and the Ukraine crisis is just one facet of that expansionist line that tends to surround Russia by its western limits. Ukraine already seems like a ripe fruit, and as soon as it falls, we will have to think about Belarus, where the population is not going to support Lukachenko.
So the Ukrainian case, for NATO, cannot take into account the interests of Russia. More was missing! But in terms of geopolitics, the editorialists announcing the arrival of the Russian wolf would have to admit that the latter also has the right to defend itself. If Ukraine enters NATO it will mean a blow to Russia, and therefore it must be admitted that Moscow has every right to oppose the alliance's plans. Let's be aware of where we are and let's not become rabid wolves. Peace in Europe deserves that we reflect without beating our chests.
