FRANCE – ARAB EMIRATES: CLOSE RELATIONSHIP

France and the United Arab Emirates have consolidated their relations, particularly in the field of energy, during the visit made to Paris by the new Emirati president, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed.

Both countries have signed an agreement to cooperate in the energy sector. This Comprehensive Strategic Energy Association (CSEP) aims to identify joint investment projects in France, the Emirates or third countries in the hydrogen, renewable and nuclear energy sectors.

These agreements demonstrate Abu Dhabi's interest and commitment to closer energy ties with Europe. "The Emirates wishes to support energy security in the world in general and in France in particular," said Sheikh Bin Zayed.
