A NEW PROVOCATIVE ACT BY ISRAEL
The ultra-right government of Israel does not cease its provocations against Islam and the Palestinian people. The last of these took place this Thursday when the Jewish minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, and a group of settlers had earlier visited Al-Aqsa Mosque amid rising tensions between the Israeli army and Palestinians in the West Bank.
Ben-Gvir is known for his provocations and his hatred of the Palestinian people. He already said on other occasions that it would be okay for him to "disappear" the Palestinians from the land and that his death would cause him joy. An indecent act.
In a statement, the Saudi foreign ministry said the visit was a “flagrant violation” of international law and “provocation” to Muslims across the world.
Meanwhile, in Israel, massive demonstrations continue against Parliament's decision, at the behest of Prime Minister Netanyahu, to limit the powers of the Supreme Court and make magistrates subordinate to parliamentarians. A situation that does not occur in any western country.
The Supreme Court did rule on Wednesday, two days after the legislation passed the Knesset, that it would hear an appeal against the new law – but the court date has been set for September.
