WESTERN SAHARA WATERS NOT BELONG TO MOROCCO

 The Spanish President, Pedro Sánchez, seems to be unaware that the waters of Western Sahara, like the territory, do not belong to Morocco. The European Parliament voted against the Morocco-EU fisheries agreement and the European Court of Justice has it in its portfolio. It is true that those who suffer are the Galician, Canarian and Andalusian fishermen. But international law has to be respected, even if it is harsh. The former Spanish colony is a non-autonomous territory according to the UN and the Saharawi people must be asked what they want to be. Yesterday the Polisario met with the Canarian fishermen. Of course, Morocco will intervene militarily to prevent the Canaries from fishing with Polisairo licences.
