ASEAN AND GCC LEADERS MEET IN RIYADH

The main leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) meet today in Riyadh under the presidency of the Crown Prince, Mohamed Bin Salman, to strengthen their ties of economic cooperation.

Both groups have an economic exchange estimated at 110,000 million dollars, but their exchange potential is much greater according to analysts. This meeting takes place while Israel maintains the escalation of its aggression in Gaza, so it is assumed that the bloody war that is shaking the Middle East will also take place at the meeting.

At the Rafah border post, work is being completed to allow the passage of 20 humanitarian aid trucks authorized by Israel and Egypt. But the United Nations has warned that this number of transports is insufficient to provide aid to the 2 million Palestinians who suffer from a lack of electricity, food, medicine and fuel.

“Twenty trucks is a ridiculous number for the enormous needs that people have in Gaza,” a spokesman for the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) told ARABINFOCUS by telephone, contacted in Ramallah. Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Emirates are the main Arab countries that have provided millions of dollars in aid to the Palestinians.

On Thursday, a bombing by Israeli military forces hit the Saint Porphyrius Greek Orthodox Church, causing at least eight deaths and several injuries, some seriously. Church is not far from the Al-Ahli Arab hospital, which was hit by a deadly air strike on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, protest demonstrations against Israel's attacks on Gaza, which have already caused thousands of deaths, continue around the world. This figure includes about 1,000 children, women and the elderly who died as a result of the bombings.

The FOX NEWS television network owned by the Jewish magnate, Murdoch, yesterday gave further proof of its “professionalism” by presenting a report in one of the Tel Aviv hospitals where, it was said, wounded people from the clashes with Hamas are being treated.

The report shows the modern facilities of the hospital, equipped with the most modern instruments, but FOX NEWS has not shown the terrible images of the Gaza hospitals, which already lack electricity, water and customs after having been cut off by Israel. in an act of revenge that seriously violates humanitarian rights.

In a speech to the nation, the American president, Joe Biden, has required his country's parliamentarians to approve the sending of billions to Israel in a new military aid package.
