PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY ACCUSES ISRAEL OF GENOCIDE
The representative of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) to the United Nations has pointed out before the Security Council that “what Israel is doing in Gaza is nothing other than genocide.”
Riyad Mansour highlighted that the 2.3 million Palestinians residing in Gaza are being subjected to terrible bombings and do not know where to take refuge from the intensity of Israel's attacks by land, air and also from the sea.
Israel estimates 1,000 deaths in its territory due to the action of Hamas armed brigades, and more than 2,000 injuries. Hamas acknowledges that around 900 people, including military and civilians, have died on its side.
The Gaza Strip is completely blocked on the fifth day of the war. Egypt closed the Rafah border crossing after the Israelis bombed the area.
And the president of the USA, Joe Biden, announced the sending to Israel of missiles and fragmentation bombs, the effects of which are deadly for the population targeted by attacks. Several North American warships are heading towards the coasts of Israel in another demonstration of support.
Arab populations are demonstrating against Israel and supporting Hamas, praising the “spirit of resistance” of the Palestinian movement. Israel has announced that it has killed at least 2 members of the Hamas general staff.
From Ramallah to Beirut, Damascus, Baghdad and Cairo, people have distributed sweets, danced and chanted prayers in support of the “resistance” to Israel’s long-standing occupation of Palestinian land.
