THE ENEMY OF PEACE IS NETANYAHU

The United States has once again pointed out the differences that separate it from Israel's policy on the Gaza war, announcing through the mouth of the Democratic majority leader of the Senate, Chuck Schumer that the enemy of peace in the current conflict in the Middle East is the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu; an opinion shared by the president, Joe Biden.

“If Netanyahu militarily attacks Rafah, where there are 1.4 million refugees, he will make a mistake,” Biden said, although he has refused to confirm the type of pressure that Washington could use to prevent the invasion of Rafah.

Netanyahu has sent a mission of senior officials to Washington to convince Biden to accept the military operation against Rafah, which would be the biggest catastrophe in the Gaza war, according to the Secretary General of the United Nations (UNO). Antonio Guterres and other Western leaders.

At this time, the Gaza enclave is not only suffering from the bombings of Israeli forces. Hunger is another deadly danger that is spreading, given Netanyahu's refusal to allow the massive entry of humanitarian aid by land, which represents the best way to relieve the population with food, medicine and other supplies.

Only the shipment sent by the non-governmental organization “Open Arms” from Spain has arrived in Gaza in recent days. There were 200 tons that cannot satisfy the needs of the population. It is estimated that 500 trucks with aid, especially food, had to enter Gaza daily in order to begin a process of normalization of humanitarian assistance, but Israel does not allow it.

Meanwhile, demonstrations against the Jewish state continue around the world. In the Spanish city of San Sebastián, more than a thousand people staged the death of nearly 32,000 Palestinians due to Israeli bombings, lying down in the street; an impressive human mass.
