ISRAEL'S WRATH AGAINST SPAIN

Israel has unleashed its particular “war” against Spain, after the president, Pedro Sanchez, announced the decision to recognize the Palestinian State. Ireland and Norway have joined this decision that the Hebrew state says “will have serious consequences.”

But it is not Spain that has problems, but Israel after the decision of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to request arrest warrants against Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yael Gallan, accused of genocide.

The same mandates have also been requested for three Hamas leaders.

The ICJ has also ordered the cessation of military operations against Rafah and the reopening of the border crossing in this town so that convoys of humanitarian aid can enter for Palestinian civilians.

As expected, Israel has stated that it rejects the decisions of the ICJ because it does not recognize it, and yesterday it bombed Rafah again in one of its most violent attacks. This is the “democratic” Jewish state. It violates international laws and continues to cause victims among the Palestinian population.

Another thing that has angered Netanyahu, Gallant and the other leaders is the statement by the vice president of the Spanish government, Yolanda Diaz, leader of the left, stating that Israel “is a genocidal state.”

“We are with Palestine from the river (Jordan) to the sea!” Yolanda stated; a historical phrase from the Palestinian diaspora. Israel has been furious, saying that this phrase is from Hamas and means that it wants the disappearance of the Jewish state. But historians claim that the same phrase was uttered by the Jews in 19447. A year before Israel emerged as an independent country.

Netanyahu has called on Spain's pro-Jewish lobby to demand that Pedro Sánchez remove Yolanda, but the president has no intention of doing so according to authorized sources.

The first retaliation against Spain was taken this Friday by prohibiting any contact between the Spanish embassy in Tel Aviv and the consulate in Al Qoda, with the Palestinians. Israel will prevent the Spanish embassy from contacting the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) in Ramallah, and the same will happen with the consulate in Al Quds.

The Jewish state will completely block contacts between Spanish diplomats and Palestinians, whether from Ramallah, West Bank of Gaza. Israel will also block the financial aid that Spain provides to the Palestinians. The “war” against Spain has been declared.

But the decisions of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) confirm that Israel has become a pariah state, and its leaders are even the subject of criticism by the Jewish population, particularly in the refusal to accept a ceasefire that would allow the release of the hostages held by Hamas.

In Spain, Yolanda Díaz's accusations have the massive approval of the population. The far-right party “Vox” condemns them, but it is a minority without any weight in political life. We must not forget the 700 years in which Al Andalus existed; a golden era for the Arabs in culture, medicine, astronomy. Schoolchildren know the history of Averroes well.
