MADRID, DUBLIN AND OSLO RECOGNIZE PALESTINE

Historic milestone today, May 28, when Spain, Ireland and Norway recognize the state of Palestine, raising the fury of the radical government of Israel, opposed to the creation of a Palestinian nation, which could be a great step towards a two-state solution .

Israel has especially vented its fury against Spain, accusing it of supporting Hamas terrorism and supporting the formula “From the river to the sea” that calls for the destruction of the Jewish state.

In response to this, the Spanish Foreign Minister, Jose Manuel Albares, has responded by calling the video “disgusting propaganda” that will not change the decision to recognize Palestine as an important step towards peace in the region.

“I find it scandalous and execrable. "It is scandalous because it is known to everyone, especially to my Israeli colleague, that the Government of Spain has condemned Hamas terrorism from the first moment and in all its actions."

 “With the step we take today, we assume our responsibility in the search for peace, security and prosperity of all peoples, in accordance with the mandate established in the preamble of the Spanish Constitution,”

 Pedro Sánchez stressed, this Tuesday. , in a solemn declaration from the steps of the Moncloa palace before the Council of Ministers subsequently approved the official recognition of the State of Palestine.

Israel has already begun retaliation against Spain, prohibiting the embassy and consulate in the Hebrew state from maintaining relations with Palestinian representatives, whether from Rafah; from Gaza; or the West Bank. Madrid has condemned this “immoral and perverted” blockade.
