ISRAELI FORCES STRIKES NEAR RED CROSS
At least 22 Palestinians died this Friday in a strike by Israeli forces that affected the place where the Red Cross representation exists, perfectly identified, despite which they had to shelter another 45 wounded in the same hospital run by the organization. humanitarian organization based in Geneva.
Israeli forces have resumed attacks on Rafah and nearby towns, after announcing a “humanitarian pause” of a few hours. The population has taken to the streets to try to look for food.
La Cruz Roka points out that “This incident causes a mass casualty influx at the Red Cros nearby hospital and report of additional casualties.”
But where the situation has become complicated again is on the border between Lebanon and Israel, due to exchanges of gunfire, missiles and artillery pieces by Jewish forces against alleged barracks of Hezbollah, a legal Lebanese party, which Iran supports.
Antonio Guterres, Secretary General of the UN, said today that he feared that the plans prepared by Tsahal to attack the guerrillas would lead to another invasion of Lebanese territory. “Israel must not turn that territory into another Gaza,” Guterres stressed.
The war in Gaza has reached a point that also hits the Jewish forces. The soldiers are tired from the long time they have been in the Palestinian enclave and would like to return to their homes, a possibility that, for the moment, the Tsahal commanders rule out.
Analysts in the Israeli press admit that depression is increasingly affecting the military and, especially, reservists. The war drags on and destabilizes the relationships between the soldiers and their commanders. We must not forget that nearly 400 Jewish soldiers have already died in this war, although those who bear the brunt are the Palestinian civilians: More than 37,000 have died so far.
History will show that Israel, in Gaza, has acted with violence that can be compared to that of Nazism during the Second World War. The genocide suffered by the Palestinian population of the enclave is very similar to that suffered by the Jews at the hands of the Hitlerites.
