SPAIN TAKES A NEW STEP AGAINST ISRAEL
The Spanish government has announced today that it joins the accusation of genocide presented by South Africa before the International Court of Justice, based in The Hague. This is a new step to present the war crimes of the Jewish state to the world.
The Spanish Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares, said: “We are not going to fall into provocations and we will act calmly, with tranquility, but we will give the answer,” he said in response to the criticism that Israel carries out against Madrid, in particular. against the president, Pedro Sánchez.
Albares made this announcement from the Viana Palace, where he explained that Spain made this decision in light of the continuation of the military operation in Gaza and the "enormous concern" raised by the regional extension of the conflict.
Spain supports the peace plan announced by the president, Joe Biden, and has asked Hamas to also support it, in order to show Israel's total isolation before international public opinion.
Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, is unwilling to adopt Biden's proposals and has instead stepped up military operations in northern, central and southern Gaza, causing a new wave of Palestinian civilian deaths.
The death toll from a bombing carried out by the Israeli Army against a United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) school in a refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip has increased. to 40, including fourteen children, according to the authorities of the enclave, controlled by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
