ICJ RENEWS ITS CONDEMNATION OF ISRAEL

Once again the International Court of Justice (ICJ) has stated that Israel illegally occupies the Palestinian territories and has ordered the Jewish state to cease that occupation; a decision that Israel refuses to accept, by not recognizing this international body that depends on the United Nations.

The decisions of the ICJ only have moral value and effect. They cannot materialize because both Israel and the United States do not recognize this body. It is the same thing that happens with the UN general assembly with respect to the Security Council.

What are those sentences worth? You are welcome; Israel acts as a pariah state outside international law and law. It calls itself a democratic state, but it maintains a genocide in Gaza and continues bombing the Palestinian enclave. There is a peace plan prepared by the United States, but Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu rejects it and wants to amend it in line with his demands.

Netanyahu considers the West Bank to be part of Israel's “historical” territories, but this claim is not supported by any reality. What always existed is Palestine. And the Jewish state began its legitimate character in 1948 within the framework of the distribution of the territory.

It is as if Spain said that it is part of the Arab League because for centuries it was occupied by Muslims within the framework of Al Andalus. The Arabs did not commit any genocide in Spain. On the contrary, their occupation was golden centuries that put Al Andalus at the forefront of the world in science, medicine, astronomy, arts, mathematics and other sciences.

The Jews, it must be said, were docile when they did not govern; but when they were in control they committed crimes and violence; a confirmed historical fact that some try to forget.
