IRAFAH EVACUATED AGAIN BY ISRAELI ORDER Once again, the border town of Rafah, south of the Palestinian enclave of Gaza, is the target of an Israeli order to be evacuated, after the provisional truce with its inhabitants ended. This is a story repeated every time Israel seeks to sow confusion and fear among the Palestinian population. Rafah, because of its border with Egypt, is evacuated as a sign of Jewish intransigence. In principle, the evacuation order is followed by a military intervention by Israeli forces (IDF) on the ground, although aircraft and artillery are also used. The Israelis force the population of Rafah to move to a section of the coastal strip where refugee camps have been set up, which are, in reality, hundreds of very precarious tents. In recent days, Israeli forces have killed 80 Palestinian citizens in attacks in variou...

SPAIN SUPPORTS THE CREATION OF A EUROPEAN ARMY Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has spoken out in favor of the creation of a European army, which would demonstrate the European Union's determination to establish a single defense framework and confirm its solidarity. Almost at the same time, US President Donald Trump, with his somewhat violent temper, asserted that Europe's "existence" could disappear in its current form if it did not enjoy the "American nuclear umbrella." Sánchez is designing a defense plan reminiscent of the old European collective security plan referred to by early European leaders, such as Robert Schumann. The project was never structured by internal divisions and compromises. The theories that continue to prevail within the EU claim that Europeans alone do not have sufficient strength to confront a powerful enemy, such as Vladimir Putin's Russia. But o...

THE“GAME” OF DEATH If a man suffers a fatal fall, his entire family will mourn with sadness. If several people in a community die in an accident, all members of the group will suffer the losses. This confirms the principle of the upward curve. In Gaza, the 50,000 victims of this war force the survivors—more than a million and a half—to wonder how long they will remain so as long as Israel maintains its intention to occupy the enclave. This is the macabre “game” of death that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his coterie of loyal supporters are engaged in. Since the resumption of the genocide against the Palestinians, there remains no prospect of extending the provisional truce, now expired. Hamas would have to release the hostages still detained to deprive Netanyahu of t...

GAZA: MILITARY OR POLITICAL SOLUTION? This is the dilemma that senior military commanders and political leaders have traditionally faced when resolving a conflict. There are situations in which the military prevails, as in the Second World War; and others in which a political compromise is reached, as occurred in the Korean War. Gaza is a small enclave to which the status of a major conflict cannot be applied. It is not an international war, and therefore an intermediate solution could have been reached through negotiations that have lasted for years. The Gaza Strip is 41 kilometers long and between 6 and 12 kilometers wide, with a total of 360 km², where almost 2 million people lived. We say "lived" because it is confirmed that 50,000 Palestinians have died. 1,950,000 would remain in the small territory; Not counting those who have managed to escap...

picture HAARETZ                             ISRAEL AND THE ANNEXATION OF GAZA Israel's plan and intention remain unchanged. Since the Hamas terrorist attack on Jewish territory on October 7, 2023, the goal remains the annexation of Gaza. Prime Minister Netanyahu has repeated it time and again: "We will stay in Gaza and unite it with the West Bank. Our armed forces will take care of security and ensure that everything goes 'in the direction we want.'" Privately, the Israeli leader insists that abandoning the Palestinian enclave "would allow Hamas to regain control, and elections in which the terrorists will always win are useless here." Therefore, if we look closely, the second phase of the peace plan reached by the mediators is very difficult, if not impossible, to implement. Netanyahu has become intransigent, realizing that President Donald Trump will not impose his veto, but quite the opposite. Colonization, ...

ISRAELI FORCES ADVANCE IN CENTRAL GAZA Rather than withdrawing, Israeli military forces (IDF) began advancing in central Gaza today, furthering Prime Minister Netanyahu's determination to completely occupy the enclave pending the capture of the last hostages. "This is just the beginning!" the Jewish leader reiterated, adding that he has no intention of initiating the second phase of the peace plan, but quite the opposite. "The army is prepared to occupy the entire territory," the Prime Minister's aides emphasize. Who is to blame for this return to unbridled war? Israel claims Hamas is responsible for not releasing the last prisoners, while the radical Palestinian terrorist movement blames Netanyahu for delaying the negotiations. The truth is that half a thousand Palestinian civilians have lost their lives in the latest attacks by Jewish forces, which could...

CLIMATE OF TERROR IN GAZA After 30 days of relative calm, a climate of terror has once again gripped Gaza, with a second day of reported Israeli airstrikes targeting the enclave's civilian population. More than 400 people have already died in the initial airstrikes. Prime Minister Netanyahu asserts that they will continue their attacks as long as Hamas does not release the hostages still in its possession. Hamas condemns the massacre and asserts that it remains willing to resume talks to enter the second phase of the peace plan adopted by all parties. This phase includes continuing the provisional truce and examining the possibilities of rebuilding the territory, which has become a heap of ruins. The enclave's hospitals are overflowing with patients and lack medicines and other healthcare needs. On this second day of airs...

ONE OF ISRAEL'S WORST BOMBINGS New details are beginning to emerge of the horror Israel wrought by carrying out one of the worst bombing raids on Gaza. The latest figures are more than 400 dead, mostly women and children. War criminal Netanyahu (this label is difficult to hide, even from the International Court of Justice (ICJ) among other organizations) has not put a stop to this latest massive attack. Israel has justified it by the fact that Hamas has not yet released all the hostages in its possession. Mediators have been unable to do anything to stop this horror. Egypt and Turkey have accused Netanyahu of being a genocidal man trying to kill all the inhabitants of Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office issued a statement saying that the regime would continue military attacks in response to Hamas' alleged refusal to accept Israel's proposals for the next round of ceasefire. The Israeli military claimed th...

ISRAEL RESUMES WAR IN GAZA Just when we thought the provisional ceasefire in Gaza could continue for some time, hoping to turn it into a permanent ceasefire, everything has collapsed. Israel has returned to war, ordering massive bombing of the Palestinian strip again. No one expected the war to resume with its bombings and missile fire. It was even thought that President Trump would order Prime Minister Netanyahu to extend the provisional ceasefire. Everything has collapsed, proving that peace is not Israel's goal, but rather the destruction of the Hamas movement, whose members had once again been seen patrolling the enclave. In reality, there are two important factors. Trump has no intention of pressuring Netanyahu in Gaza, and the bombing will continue while Hamas and its military wing have reappear...

ARABINFOCUS We cannot compete with Arab newspapers, which have significant financial resources and journalistic staffs. That is why they are the first to break the news. ARABINFOCUS does not compete with the speed of news. We have chosen to provide analysis and commentary. That is our line: to deeply analyze events. To continue our mission of denouncing Israel's crimes and the genocide suffered by the people of Gaza. ARABINFOCUS does not use the false neutrality of Arab newspapers. We have been threatened by antisemites and enemies of Israel. Our readers support us even though we don't have a dinar. No one has given us donations. We are proud of our analysis of reality. We do not break the news first; we comment...

UN Report Accuses Israel of 'Genocidal Acts' in Gaza Once again, the United Nations has released a report on the situation in Gaza, in which it accuses the Jewish armed forces of having committed "acts of genocide" that must be internationally condemned. The report, released this Thursday, highlights that Israel is responsible for the genocide of Palestinians, including destroying hospitals, schools, and committing sexual violence, all within the framework of a deliberate strategy of war without limits or humanity. "Israeli authorities have partially destroyed the reproductive capacity of the Palestinians in Gaza as a group, including by imposing measures intended to prevent births, one of the categories of genocidal acts in the Rome Statute and the Genocide Convention," said the U.N. Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel. Accusations against the Hebrew s...

ANTI-MILITARISM SINKS IN SPAIN For half a century, all the governments that assumed power in Spain, from the right to the radical left, agreed that the country, due to its limited resources, could not increase military spending. The population supported this decision. But in May 1982, Spain became the 16th member of the NATO, under a right-wing government led by José María Aznar, the man who years later joined the war in Iraq declared by the United States in response to the invasion of Kuwait by Saddam Hussein's army. Entry into NATO sparked political chaos. All the polls confirmed that the Spanish people rejected membership in this political-military alliance. The Spanish refused to join NATO, but they could not force Aznar to change his position. Spain joined the organization when an absolute majority of c...

SPAIN CHANGES AND WILL EXPEL IMMIGRANTS After more than 230 years in which the Spanish doors have been open and thousands of illegal immigrants have been controlled, the government of this Mediterranean country has finally changed its policy and will from now on expel those who cross the borders without justification. Spain and Italy are the two countries in the Mediterranean area that suffer the greatest attacks by illegal immigrants. In Spain alone, official figures confirm the existence of 600,000 migrants without the right to remain in the country. But until now, all those who arrived through the Canary Islands, Gibraltar, the Balearic Islands and all the other coastal towns on the peninsula were received. Although it may seem strange, there are small towns where there are more migrants than those of national origin. The government has established a list and ...

WESTERN COUNTRIES SUPPORT ARAB PEACE PLAN Four major Western countries have expressed their support for the Arab peace plan unveiled in Egypt, which contains three phases. The second phase is to continue the ceasefire in Gaza and to study the conditions in favour of the beginning of reconstruction. France, the United Kingdom, Germany and Italy believe that the second phase of the plan is important in order to prevent the war from re-igniting in the Palestinian enclave and to continue to improve the lives of the inhabitants of Gaza who have returned to their homes, most of which are completely destroyed. But the main objective is to prevent Israel from breaking the provisional ceasefire and resuming the bombings and again the war continues causing hundreds of deaths. So far, 48,000 Palestinians have died due to the aggression of the Jewish state. We are at a crucial moment; Either the ...

AN ARAB PEACE PLAN FOR GAZA The Arab countries gathered in Cairo have adopted a reconstruction plan for Gaza that extends over 5 years and costs 53 billion dollars. The plan has been presented by Egypt, one of the mediators in the war that has destroyed the Palestinian enclave. The Arab leaders have shown themselves united, without reservation, in the hope that this plan will be carried out in a context of a permanent ceasefire with Israel. The Arabs are totally opposed to the extradition of the inhabitants of Gaza to other Islamic nations. This second phase of the peace plan presented by former President Joe Biden, and which Egypt supports and has revamped in various aspects, cannot be carried out if Israel unleashes war again. It is therefore imperative that the general truce, a...
